Rainy Week in Buenos Aires!

Hello family!

We had an amazing last week of the transfer here in Garín. It was super rainy the whole week but we got super lucky because it only rained during the night, so we just had to deal with the mud because most of the streets are dirt roads around here.

Anyways, so we didn´t have anything going on for Sunday, a few possibilities coming in for church but nothing solid and then a 12 year old girl who came to church before came and she is getting baptized this Sunday! woohoo! We´re excited. We´ll be teaching her all this week and it helps that most of her extended family are really strong recent converts and she basically already knows all the stuff.

So today was transfers but my companion, Elder LeBaron, and I weren´t changed so he will finish here in Garín, which means I will have killed 2 missionaries here, and I will be staying here for two more transfers!! Super excited, so in total I should be here for 6 months. Elder LeBaron and I were also extremely happy we get to stay together because we get along really well and work well too.

So, hope you guys are enjoying the cold! Props to Casey for the testimony, you rock.

HEAT!

Good week!

So we don´t have a ton of time but basically just doing the normal missionary work here in Garín!

We had a baptism yesterday of a girl named Liz, who has been an investigator for the last 3 years or something like that. We weren´t teaching her, then her ex-boyfriend got home from the mission and it seemed like she was ready to get baptized now so we passed over everything and baptized her! She was super excited about her baptism and very emotional.

Now starting the last week of this transfer and to be honest it has been crazy. Talking to President this morning we kind of got a hint that we might be staying together for Elder LeBaron´s last transfer in the mission!

We were talking about the zone numbers and then Elder LeBaron asked what we can do for President and he said, ¨Elder, just make this last transfer the best transfer of your mission. Work so hard that when you get to my house you are completely drained, and if Elder Wardle has to give you a kick in the butt, well we can live with that.¨ haha, so seems like we are staying together, and we are pretty stoked.

Alright, basically everything super interesting that happens here haha. I hope you guys are awesome.

Every time we talk about the United States everyone tells us that people are freezing to death up there and then I get emails that say its 70, so they must not be talking about Las Vegas!

HOLA!

Hey family!

Pretty awesome week. Tuesday we had zone conference with another zone and so we learned a lot about how if we teach more lessons, we will baptize more.

This week our zone killed it on lessons and it seems like the whole mission is doing the same thing. Elder Figueroa, who once upon a time was my zone leader and who is now one of the assistants, did divisions with us and it was so fun because I used to do divisions with him and he was also Elder LeBaron´s companion, so we enjoyed ourselves and taught a lot.

Had a few crazy days with finding new people and crazy less-actives who want to argue and then helping out converts and we are just enjoying the work. Not sure if anything stands out.

Oh yeah, the guy who came to church last week who was a crazy miracle turned out to be a crazy guy who had just studied a lot so he could get ¨in.¨ We had a to be a little careful with him but we are all good now.

Think that is about it. Sounds like a boring week but I promise it was awesome!

Thank you for all the love, support, prayers, it is definitely felt on this side of the world :)
Keep being awesome everybody, baptize your friends!!

Elder Wardle

2014!!!!

Hello Family and Happy New Year!

New Year’s was pretty calm for us missionaries. We had permission to go home at 10:30 and then we just made sure everyone was home and went to bed. So yeah, partying it up down here in South America.

Friday we helped one of the convert families lay a cement patio, which was pretty cool and also extremely non-professional haha, but it turned out alright we think.

So on Sunday we show up to church with 0 investigators because no one woke up to come with us and then we talk to this man who is there for his first time. He said he had a dream with an angel who said his name was Moroni, so he found out where that was from and came to church and said he wants to get baptized in a couple weeks. Pretty exciting stuff, we have our first lesson with him this evening so pray for that. Just enjoying the heat down here.

2014 is gonna rock, just so everyone knows. Keep living awesome lives and updating me about them, I love you guys
